Welcome to our website.

Here is a brief look at what and who we are. We are a small independent retailer in Kettering Northamptonshire. When we started the business a few years ago, we primarily sold wooden toys and games. Unfortunately the supermarkets and online retailers such as Amazon started to take the most popular lines from retailers such as ourselves, and undercut the market. We therefore have changed what we retail. We still carry a few popular toys and games and we are competitively priced on these, but we are now more focused on the personalised items such as the signs and sweet arrays. Our personal service has seen regular customers return to us over and over, which is great news for us, and we hope you find something on our site you like. Below is some of the more common questions asked, which we have answered to the best of our ability.

Q1: How secure is your website?

A: Our website carries the 128bit SSL security. This is the highest encryption available and is used by all the financial institutions. When you go through the shopping cart to make payment the site encrypts all your details. We have also signed with Nochex to give a better range of card payments available through their secure payment site.

Q2: How do I know when a page is secure?

A: You will note at the top of this page it states http:// .... and this is fine for your normal browsing. However when you checkout and click the card or Paypal payment button in the payment page the page is secured and encrypted and the address line changes from http:// to https:// and the padlock icon on the browser goes from unlocked to locked. This now means that only you can see this screen and the details on it. This keeps your transaction 100% secure.

Q3: Do you get to see my card details?

A: No, we only get to see the order details and any card details you enter are completely hidden from us, unless of course you call us to make card payment by phone.

Q4: If I pay by phone using a card, what happens to my details?

A: Your details are taken by us and processed through our secure system usually within 5 minutes of the call. Any details taken are then completely destroyed immediately after the transaction.

Q5: Do you ever sell or give away our my details for marketing?

A: We never sell, give or show your details to any other parties. Some companies do sell on mailing lists to third parties, but we think this is a breach of your trust with us.

Q6: Some postage rates seem a little strange?

A: Royal Mail made the decision to make all packets over a particular size fall into the same price bracket for sending, and not dependant on weight alone. This means that some items weighing 70gms will cost the same to send as those weighing 900gms. What we have done is to try to group items together to try to make the P&P cost as good as we can for our customers. The plus point to this is the more you purchase the more cost effective the P&P becomes. Once you reach our carrier rate then all additional items purchased at the same time, would be inclusive in the cost, and therefore virtually postage free.

Q7: What if I purchase something that is not suitable or received broken?

A: Under distance selling regulations ALL internet businesses have to give you the right to return any goods within 7 days of receipt. We abide by this law, but before returning anything we would like you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve this, and explain our returns procedure.

Q8: How did you come up with your site design its not the standard layout?

A: We have tried several designs over the years with flashy pages and menus, but we found that many of our customers are " silver surfers " who buy for their grandchildren. We always ask for peoples comments and like any criticism as this helps us improve our service. One of these said our site was too complicated. We therefore changed our site to make it as clean and simple, and easy to follow as possible, but we are always open to any comments should you have any difficulty.

Q9: Do you have an actual shop we can visit?

A: We trade solely online. We did sell direct to the public several years ago, but the overheads meant we would have had to increase our prices, and we all know most things are cheaper online. We currently have 3 units we use for storage and picking and packing, but these are not open for the public. Our address below is our office address where if need be you can collect goods by prior arrangement, and our shopping cart has the option for collection if needed.

Q10: How quickly will you dispatch my order?

A: We would normally dispatch orders received before 2 o'clock on the same day ( Monday to Friday )orders received after 2 o'clock it will be dispatched on the next working day. We do give a lot of postage options within our shopping basket dropdown menu should you need a faster delivery within the UK. Pre-orders of course can be taken, and are welcomed, on our Balloons in a Box orders. All our non-UK orders are sent via airmail and delivery to Europe is normally 3 to 5 days and Worldwide is 7 to 10 days. This can vary depending on the delivery service locally to you.
